Accommodation
The Gathering
Knoydart's premier accomodation. The Gathering provides a unique type
of bed and breakfast accommodation to the remote Knoydart peninsula on
the beautiful west coast of Scotland. The aim is to put an emphasis on
giving you all the friendliness, luxury and comforts of home, when you
are indoors, leaving you free to focus on enjoying the remote wild
beauty of this area of the Scottish Highlands, when you are outdoors.
Sandaig Cottage
Sandaig cottage is a family owned and rented rebuilt sheppard's cottage
named "Torr na h'Innse". The Cottage itself in positioned 7 metres from
the sea in 400acres of private land. Our neighbour (1/2mile away) is
the only other house to share Sandaig Bay. The Bay has been quoted as
being "one of the world's 50 best beaches". This bay is located 4
miles, or a 15minute drive from Knoydart's only village of Inverie.
Eating out
Doune Dining Room
At Doune Dining Room everything is home-made from locally sourced fresh
ingredients. The ambience is warm, friendly and relaxed, and equally
suited to small or large groups. Our famous three course evening dinner
is a carefully chosen single menu, freshly prepared daily (with options
for special diets and vegetarians).
The Old Forge
A place for drinking, singing, meeting, holding court, talking and
'putting the world to rights'. Mainland Britain's remotest pub.
The Pier House
We provide comfortable accommodation, memorable meals in our licensed
restaurant, the opportunity to go fishing or take a boat trip. Above
all you will have the space to relax and unwind or to step out and
climb, walk and cycle in the area or to wander about, pick up shells,
read your book on the beach...
